Let me know when you're ready.

When we are getting ready to go somewhere, usually it happens that we get Addy's coat on first. Then once we have her bundled up and ready to go, we get our coats on and then we leave. Well, Addy's coat is (first of all, super cute) but very big and hard for her to walk around in. She usually falls over in it a couple of times. I help her up and then she falls over again. Eventually she gives up and just lays there and just waits for us to pick her up to go. So this is the picture that you see. Addysen has fallen over in her coat and she is waiting on us to leave. I just thought it was funny. The second picture is a picture of peanut coming to check on her. - what a thoughful cat!

Hi Guys...

Addy showing off her shirt that shows that she supports the troops and her Uncle Bryan. Hurry home Uncle Bryan, we all miss you!
Well, since the last time that I have written, I'm sure a lot has happened. I just can't remember everything. So I will just try to hit some highlights.... Addysen is now 11 months. We are getting ready for her 1st birthday. I have been busy buying her more stuff than she needs. (well, basically clothes and she NEEDS those.) Addysen has just been a busy little bee. She is just walking all over the place. She thinks that she is pretty big stuff. Right now we are dealing with a double ear infection. It started 2 Tuesday's ago (3/4). I went and picked her up from daycare and the babysitter said that she has some drainage from here ear all day. It was gross. I've never seen this before. So I called the doctor the next day and they said that we should bring her in. Daddy took her to the doctor (for the first time!!! all went well) We got some medication and thought that everything was going just dandy. Well then on the following Wednesday morning, I saw that same drainage again, from the other ear. I called the doctor and she said that the medication must not be fighting this particular bug, so she changed our medication. Well, this medication then gave poor baby Addy tummy troubles (I'll spare you the details). So, we are now on the third medication for these darn ears. All the while you would have no idea that this little girl had an ear infection. We didn't know, obviously for it to get so bad that it perforated.... in both ears. I think now all is going well and she is going to pull though.

Let's see here. Aaron and I are attempting to switch Addysen over to table food. It is going alright. This kid just could careless if she ate. However, sometimes she really likes table food when she can feed herself. We haven't quite figured this out yet. Sometimes she eats like a champ and other times, like tonight, she wanted nothing to do with food at all. We'll get it figured out.

Oh, oh, oh. I have to share this one quick story. Today, Aaron and I were on the couch watching the Illini lose. Addysen was being so good and playing all by herself for the longest time. Well, this is a follow up to the video of Addy feeding her baby. She was sitting on the floor, feeding her baby (which is enough to melt your heart) then she would stop, put the bottle down, pick the baby up and pat it on the back:) Then just repeat this over again over again. How cute is that !!!! I so bad wanted to get a video of this, but as soon as I got up, I knew she would stop.

Addy and Maddie

This past Saturday, Addysen had her very first play date! She was so excited. This was also the first time that we got to meet Miss Maddie. Maddie is the daughter of my college roommate (but more importantly my good friend!) We were pregnant at the same time and our girls are only 4 days apart. The girls are approaching their first birthday, so we knew that we had to get them together before they turned 1. We wanted to do this sooner, but it has been very hard living far apart, both of us working and having to take care of our husbands every need. (ha ha ha) Anywho. When they first met, it wasn't as grand as I was expecting it to be with smiles, hugs and kisses, but it was very cute and comical. They were both quite sleepy, so they were not at the top of their game. We sat them down together, they looked at each other and then they started crying. This did eventually stop, as you can tell from the pictures. I think that they had fun together at their first meeting. Also, since the girls birthday's were coming up, Katie's mom was so nice and got the girls their very own cupcakes, so we could celebrate their birthday together. They loved the cupcakes. Especially the icing! I'd have to say that after they were done with the cupcakes, they were on a bit of a sugar high. They were then able to play a bit longer, even though they were both really tired. By the end of the play date, Katie and I noticed that the two girls were babbling to each other as we talked. It was very cute. It was like they were in their own little world with their own conversation. This was such a fun play date, I just hope that it is not another year before we get this two crazy girls together again - I'm sure it won't be that long. Thanks Katie for driving to Peoria, so we could hang out with you guys. It was so much fun!! Also, tell your mom - thanks again for everything!

1st Piggy Tails!

Most of you have probably noticed, Addysen has not been blessed with great hair.... Aaron and I think that she is growing a mullet. Well, the top is now getting longer and it just hangs straight down in her eyes - and no, I'm not going to cut it. So I thought that this was a perfect time to start playing with her hair. I bought a bunch of little hair do-dads, and we have been practicing. I have wanted to put her hair in a pony tail or piggy tails for the longest time.... and so, this is our first attempt. Not quite enough hair - but still adorable!
