The Tooth fairy

Addysen lost her first tooth this past October, and she (or I) has been holding onto that tooth since then because she was too afraid to let the tooth fairy come into the house.  Yes, she is not only afraid of Santa Clause and the Easter Bunny, she is also scared of the Tooth Fairy;)  I gave her many chances to let her come but she wasn't ready until this March - 5 months later!

She was brave enough to have her come, as long as she didn't come into her room. So we left her tooth fairy pillow on the kitchen table.
And what do you know... the tooth fairy came and left and no one even knew, but she did leave behind lots of glitter and some money!

She was one happy girl and so excited to tell her teacher, Mrs. Manecke about this!

Anna & Lola Day!

Anna and Lola came to our house for a couple of days while their daycare provider was sick.  We had a great time with them.  Ainsley was so happy to get to spend some time with them & Addysen was so excited to see them when she got off the bus each day.  It is always a crazy day when all the Link girls are in one place:)

two crazy little turkey's
Ainsley loves Lola and likes to try to mother her;)
she even let's Lola pull her hair.
She's still pulling and Ainsley is still smiling;)
two peas in a pod;)
When Anna comes over, they love to play in Ainsley's puppy tent, well Anna also takes her naps in there.  So before nap, I dump out the tent to put toys away so Anna can get in the tent to sleep with no distractions.... This day, this is all the crap I dumped out of it!   he he he!  It's funny because when they start this process, one of them sits in the tent and put everything in it's place and the other one keeps grabbing stuff and grabbing stuff and just throws it in there.  I find the most random things in this tent.  KIDS ARE WEIRD, but so much fun!

YAY!!! Another snow day!!!

Mixed emotions on this... Yay for another snow day, but are the kids ever going to get out of school for summer break!?  Oh well, we enjoyed our day together and this was the first time Ainsley went out to play in the snow.  They were only outside for about 10-15 minutes, but it was enough for the first time and it as fun watching them and taking pictures!  Addysen was awesome and took such good care of her little sister!
Before they went outside, Ainsley said she was NOT going to fall down in the snow...
Ainsley glove kept falling off, so she came up to me to put it back on, so I got a good close up of her cheesy grin:)
Hey look at that, I think she touched the snow..
Big Sis is helping her up the ladder.
Oh man!!! Her glove came off again... they are calling it quits.
Addysen helped Ainsley all the way into the house.  The snow was pretty deep and Ainsley kept falling int he snow, with just one mitten.
But she had fun, they were both laughing and giggling all the way in, especially when they fell.
Another fall, another laugh!
and attempt at a pinterest project, but it got forgotten... :(  We'll try again sometime.
Once they were inside, Addysen was still cold... So she snuggled in with her hat, sweater, a blanket and hot chocolate.
Ainsley just likes to do what sissy is doing;)

Ava's Birthday!

Addysen went to her first sleepover party at Ava's house.  I wasn't sure about her sleeping over at someones house yet, but she was all for it.  When I asked her what the best part of the party was, she said, "sleeping over!"  AHHHHH, our little girl is growing up too fast! The party started with some country style sledding, so I stayed to take some pictures.  The girls had a blast & after about 2 rides, they were all cold, ready to come in and start the party.  Miss Jiliane did a great job planning the party, they ate pizza, did crafts, watched movies and I'm sure lots more my private little lady did not share with me:)

some of the girls at the party... the others were sledding at the time.

Olivia, Addysen and Ava ready to sled!

Playing in the snow!

I loved to play in the snow as a kid and I still do, as long as I am bundled up good.  So I am glad we got a couple of good snow storms this year!  Now that Easter is right around the corner, I'm ready for warmer weather, so I'm hoping that this next snow storm they are predicting for this weekend misses us. If not, I'm sure we'll be out playing in the snow again, so I'm glad I haven't put the snow pants away yet.
Addy Grace and I having fun in the snow!
My attempt at a snow angle.  I forgot how difficult it is to stand up after you make one.....
rolling in the snow... It's fun to be a kid!

Chicago with the Link's 2013

Papa and Grandma Sharon took us all to Chicago again and we had such a good time.  We rode the train up on a Friday morning and came home on Sunday afternoon.  It was a short trip, but it was just long enough for the kiddos.  It was a memorable trip for many reasons, some good and some bad (Lola had to go to the ED on Saturday and Ainsley puked on Sunday).  Luckily, those were the only low points.  The high points were..... the rest of the trip, Shedd Aquirium, the Disney Store, the Auto Show, Weber Grill, Rock Bottom Brewery, swimming, happy hour and the family races around the hotel! It was a fun little getaway!  Thank You Papa and Grandma Sharon! We love you.

SO EXCITED to be on the train!
Yay for trains!
Grandma Sharon and the girls watching/listening to the diver in the tank.
So cool!  I wish I had a wall like this at my house - and also the staff to take care of the fish;)
special moments.
This was my favorite thing to see!  I think sea horses are very cool!
Ryan and Aaron were resting - worn out from all the big fishy they saw!

After the aquarium, our ride was awaiting...
I love this picture - look at Addysen's excitement!
Cousin love
FUN FUN FUN at the Disney store! (Lola is in the stoller sleeping, by Minnie)
See, there she is:)
After the Disney store, Anna fell asleep... and look, she sleeps like a lady;)
Grandma and her girls!

DINER AT WEBER GRILL
dinner time silliness:)

AFTER DINNER
Addysen decided to lay down in a bush.... We had nothing to do with it:)
Everyone else had gone back to the hotel, and we decided we weren't done yet...
and neither were Grandma and Papa...
So after Papa gave Addysen a woopin, we went and got some drinks to take back to the hotel.
And when the drinks were done, so was Papa.  But it looks like the little ones outlasted him!
And the girls ended the trip with a dip in the hot tub.  What a great trip!

I just realized that I didn't have any pictures of Nate, so I'll leave you with Uncle Nate and Aunt Mary's race around the hotel.

Valentines Day

Valentines Day went by in a blurr this year.  Ainsley went to Hope's house and got lots of sweet valentines from her buddies. Addysen went to school and her class had a valentines day party, so I went in to help and share treats.  Then after school, we went to get Ainsley and came home.  Then Jared and the kids came over so they could exchange valentines, then they were off to visit "Grandma" Ruth.  When they got home, we ate supper and we packed our bags because first thing in the morning we were taking the train to Chicago with the Link Family.  So it wasn't the typical lovey-dovey Valentines day - Aaron is so lucky I'm not high maintenance about that stuff;)  He let me quit my job to pursue something else that - so far - is still a work in progress.  He loves us girls more than anything in the world and I know that. He works hard for us everyday and for that I couldn't love him enough for!  So even though I didn't have a fancy meal, flowers or a card on Valentines day, I still felt like the luckiest girl in the world.
Ainsley, my little nut ready for Valentines Day!
And look at that, she is going into her favorite room of the house... the pantry!
My Addysen, set in her ways and will no longer let me pick out her clothes:(.... said that she WAS wearing valentines day clothes because it said LOVE on the pockets of her jeans.  ;)
passing out their valentines.
Addysen is checking out her loot:)
playing a game with their teacher, Mrs. Manecke.  Addysen loves her and thinks she is the bee's knees!  (We really like her too)
And look who came to crash the party and steal a treat!?  Mrs. Higgerson.  "Who's that" - as Addysen would say.
