Our first day at the beach. Addysen fell asleep on the way to the lake, so when she woke up - she wasn't exactly ready to jump in the water. 
We spent the first couple of hours sitting up on the grass on a blanket. I first took her down to the sand, and she didn't like that, and wanted up. Then I took her down to the water and she wanted no part of that either. Every once in a while, we would try again. I would take her hand and we would walk toward the beach and we'd get about half way to the sand. She would let go of my hand turn around run back to the blanket, do a little dance and sit down. After watching Morgan and Caleb play in the water and sand all day, I decided that she HAD to at least try to get in the water. So I took her out one more time.
At first she just stood very still and wouldn't move unless I moved her. I kept getting her closer to the water. The water finally touched her toes and she screamed and moved back. Then Caleb came running out of the water and got her wet. She screamed again, looked down and brushed the water off of her legs, as if she couldn't believe he did that! Eventually, we both go in the water, and eventually she liked it. Even to the point where she cried when I took her out of the water. It was an awesome day, and I can't wait to do it again!
