Easter Sunday

EASTER MORNING

The Easter Bunny followed the directions... SHE didn't come into our house, she left the gifts outside and hid some eggs outside.

Checking out the gifts from Momma and Daddy!

WHOO-HOO!  Ainsley got some new sunglasses!

I guess the Easter Bunny knows Addysen well... She brought her her favorite candy, Tootsie Rolls!

Ainsley got a drum!

Searching for the eggs that the Easter bunny left!

Ready for church, waiting for big sister go get out of Sunday School.

Evan had her own REAL LIFE baby to "play" with!!!  She was feeding Ainsley a play baby bottle when Ainsley started fussing.

(there is a whole lot of cheeks in this picture! - too cute!)

I never have my camera ready at the right time...This was pretty funny, as the Easter egg hunt began, Addysen and Hunter ran after the same egg, and Hunter pushed Addysen down as they got close to the egg!  Addysen was fine - it didn't phase her a bit, we all got a good laugh out of it!

EASTER (saturday)

We celebrated Easter with the Link's on Saturday, before Easter.  We started the day off with an Easter Egg hunt at Oak Run. Unfortunately, I forgot I needed to get gas before we headed over to the hunt, which made us late.  Addysen was not too upset, as a helper of the event hid some eggs, just for her.  I, on the other hand, felt HORRIBLE!  Luckily for me, she is an awesome little girl and has not been permanently damaged by this.  I'll look at it as a gentle way we're easing her into the mad
race of a typical egg hunt;-)

After the Easter egg hunt, Addysen decided that it was going to be okay for the Easter Bunny to come to our house...

After the Easter egg hunt, Addysen went home with Grandma, Papa, Uncle Ryan and Aunt Kelli.  Ainsley came home with me, to begin her training as an
Easter Bunny Helper;)

At the Link Easter, we also celebrated
Uncle Ryan's Birthday!
(Uncle Nate was really excited about this!)

*At the end of the night, Addysen was EXHAUSTED!!  She was 100% out of goodness.  She was crying and crying because she didn't want to leave...was going to miss Grandma... wanted to sleep in our room when we got home... was scared of the dark... Come to find out, she had changed her mind, and was TERRIFIED of the Easter Bunny coming into our house.  This is becoming a theme with poor little Addysen.  She was scared of Santa Claus coming down the chimney.  When we first started discussing God, she had a look of fear on her face as I told her that he is always with us and watching over us.  And now it's the Easter Bunny.  I think this fear came into play as we just saw/walked by the Easter Bunny at the mall. I will agree, that costume is a little creepy, but apparently to Addysen, it is the definition of scary!  After some hugs and some reassurance about her safety, she was able to calm down.  When we got home from Grandma and Papa's house, Addysen and I did a security check together. We made sure that all the doors were locked, so no one could get into our house, not even an Easter Bunny.

Our Swimming Star

This is Addysen's first year of swimming lesson's where she is swimming on her own.  She is doing an awesome job and loving every moment of it.  In just her second lesson, she jumped off the diving board!  We are so proud of her!

our hillbilly!

Ainsley now has 3 teeth.  Two on the bottom and one on top. And the one on the top is not one of the middle ones, it is the one just to the left of the middle one.  We think she's gonna look like a hillbilly:)

look at that smile!

Addysen's 4th Birthday

Making cupcakes for Hope's house.
 We made chocolate cupcakes
with purple frosting.
(& blue frosting for a special boy at Hope's)
The best part of making cupcakes...
licking the spoons!

On Addysen's birthday, the girls went to Hope's house until lunch time.  Then I picked them up, we took cupcakes to the boys at the farm and we went home for girl time!  I surprised Addysen with a new barbie doll and a new movie she had been wanting to see.  So we snuggled in and watched, "Tangled" together.  Addysen kept quoting the movie the rest of the day by saying, "BEST DAY EVER!!"
 Opening presents at home with
Mommy, Daddy and Ainsley

 Sleeping Beauty jammies!!!

WHOA~ look at all of those presents!

Taking the first ride on her new scooter!

The next day, Addysen's family birthday party!
 The Cake!

 The princess birthday girl!

 Her new baby bed from
Grandma Sharon and Papa.

Yeah!!  finally got her unicorn pillow pet from Uncle Ryan and Aunt Kelli.

Grandma K won the award of the strangest gift...  It was a cat puppet.  It was creepy.  It looked like a real (dead) cat.  Addysen was scared of it!  The puppet cat went home with Morgan and Caleb... but we all got a good laugh out of it.

The birthday girl and her family.

ready to blow out the candles!

At the end of the night, Ainsley had a visitor in her bed... Miss Evan just made herself right at home.  Needless to say, Ainsley
didn't invite her to stay:)

It was a fun night with the family celebrating our girl's 4th birthday... I just can't believe that she is 4!  Time has gone way too fast. Faster than what my head can comprehend and faster than what my heart can handle.

Happy Birthday Daddy!

The end of March, we celebrated Aaron's birthday.  We took him out to dinner at the Packinghouse, got him an ice cream cake from Dairy Queen and gave him a couple of gifts.  I let Addysen do 100% of the shopping for his presents.  She picked him out a card with a half naked man on it (because he had big muscles like daddy), a bag of snickers and a movie - Alvin and the Chipmunks (which she said he had to share...)
It was a fun night!
