Halloween with Grandpa Larry

Wednesday before Halloween, Tammy and I took the kids all dressed up in their Halloween costumes to see Dad. This was the best picture that I got. It is hard to get everyone to cooperate. Plus we've got an extra in the background to balance the picture! ha ha ha.

Morgan and Caleb entertaining Addysen and I before Tammy, Mom and Dad joined the fun.

Luckily, Aunt Tammy, Morgy and Caleb were there to loosen Miss Addysen up. She was pretty worried when we first go there.

The kids playing with puzzle pieces. Hope we didn't lose any! (it's funny how kids find something to entertain themselves with even when there are no toys!)

Caleb brought a tattoo for Grandpa. Aren't these two cool dudes showing off their new Tats! Dad was strong during his, he didn't even cry, but he did put on a good show!

(Caleb is so good with grandpa. It is so sweet to watch him interact with him)

Caleb giving Grandpa FIVE!!!! As you can see, there is no holding back for Mr. Caleb. He was yelling and Dad was yelling. They were just encouraging eachother to get louder and louder!........BOYS!!!!!

Here the kids are still picking on Grandpa. Morgy and Caleb are giving him rabbit ears. Addy just watched. She was still a little scared after all the yelling, grunting and groaning the boys were making from the high fives.

On our way out, we walked around the nursing home so everyone could see the kids, which of course was a hit! I was so glad that by this time, Addysen was loosened up and comfortable. She actually walked through the hallways (which she never does) and she was waving at people and saying "Hi"

I love her to pieces!

I've got a cute Addysen story to share...

This morning I was getting ready for the day, doing my hair, putting on my make-up and such. Addysen came into the bathroom after a while with her step stool. (she takes this thing all over the house because she wants to see - "I see" is a phrase I hear all the time). She put it in front of the sink, climbed up and started to pretend she was washing her hands. Then she started pulling out my make-up and my hair brushes. Before long, I realized what she was doing. She was trying to do what I was doing. (at that time, I was working on my hair) She would take whatever - comb, brush, mascara - whatever she could find and tried running it through her hair. Stop, pick up something different and run that through her hair too. Since I was straightening my hair, I was doing just that - pick up the brush, then the straightener back and forth, back and forth. She was trying to do that same thing with the tools she had. Then every once in a while, I'd turn around to check the back of my hair in the mirror, AND... she would do the same thing. Turn around on her little step stool, still continuing to work on her hair, just like I was doing.

How cute is that?? I just love her pieces! I'm keeping her forever! (that's what I tell her daily)

We have color!!!

KITCHEN
GREAT ROOM

HALLWAY FROM GARAGE TO KITCHEN

ADDYSEN'S ROOM

GUEST ROOM/OFFICE

MASTER BEDROOM
(not a great picture, the color is yellow)

ADDYSEN/GUEST BATHROOM

MASTER BATH

AARON'S BATHROOM
It is so exciting to see color in the house. We really like everything so far - except our room, the yellow is TOO bright, so we may have to tone that down a little. Aaron and I have big hopes for this next week for getting things done - hopefully things will work out.

Our trip to Tanners

Addysen and I in the pumpkins at Tanners. We had a lot of fun here - it was cold and very windy, but of course the kids didn't mind.

Caleb showing Addysen how to pick the right pumpkin.

Fun in the pumpkins!

Tammy, Caleb and Morgan

and...
Mom in the background. She thought she was so funny! -- it was!

This was the first thing Addysen did when she got out of her stroller. She went straight over to the pumpkins and sat on them!

Mr. Caleb - How handsome is he?

Morgan and Addysen at the playground. Morgan is such an AWESOME big cousin!

If you're asking why I don't have more GOOD pictures of Addysen. This is why. As soon as she sees that I have the camera, she runs towards me and says, "I see." So it is almost impossible to get her to pose anymore or even look at the camera. That's okay though, I'll just have to get more creative!

House Update

Well they are making progress on our home! Drywall is done, and it is all primed. Yesterday they started painting color on the walls. They also started digging the geothermal yesterday - FINALLY! And the siding should be started this weeks too. We're on our way, but still a long way to go.

Riding with Daddy

Addy and Daddy riding in the combine. Taking a break from picking corn for a picture.
This was actually Addysen's second time in the combine. Mommy forgot the camera the first time. She loves riding with Daddy. Now every time she sees a tractor or a combine, she yells, "DADDY!" Aaron thinks this is the coolest thing. That was until I told him that she doesn't limit it to green tractors. Don't worry, I'm sure overtime Daddy will teach her well.
