Altona Day Parade

Addysen was on the float for our church in the Altona Day's Parade.  This was the first parade that she has ever been in, and she loved it!  She has already told me that she wants to do it again next year!

When Addysen was done and off of her float, we watched the rest of the parade.  And we saw Emma and Lexi on the Swanson Electric tractor!

Father's Day

On Father's day, we went to church, we all took naps and we went to Grandma and Papa's house for supper.  It was a nice day.  The girls and I feel so thankful and blessed to have Aaron, a AWESOME Dad and a Fabulous husband!

Aaron, his girls and his corn ;)

Lemonade Stand

This year, at our more on 34 garage sale, Addysen and Peighton had a lemonade stand.  Addysen has been excited and planning this for a year.  The girls sold, lemonade, water and cookies.  They both did a great job at "manning" their stand - all day long!!  They made around $52.00!  We are donating half of the money to Niabi Zoo and half of it the Children's Hospital.  This was a fun project for the girls  -  I'm glad we did it, and can't wait to do it again next year!

Welcome Lola Ann!

Nathan and Mary's little Lola Ann Link has arrived and she is precious.  Aaron and I got to go visit them in the hospital after she was born. No kids were allowed, so Addysen and Ainsley had to wait about a week to meet their newest cousin.  Then, of course, when Addysen and Ainsley met Lola - I forgot my camera:(  But they did get to meet her and they are crazy about her and love her to pieces!

Lola Ann Link

I was so excited to meet her and hold her!  I love babies!

Proud Uncle Aaron.

Congratulations Nate, Mary and Anna!  She is beautiful!!!

Here is a look back at Addysen, Ava and Stephanie on our last day at Stephanie's daycare. She had so much fun there and was so well taken care of... We miss you Stephanie and Ava!

Memorial Day

This year, we planned our Memorial Day weekend a little different.  We visited cemeteries on Sunday (instead of Monday, like we normally do - I know.... we're crazy, the way we change things up!) and we stayed home and cooked out on Monday.  It was a fun, relaxing weekend.  I was a very happy Momma, to get to spend the whole weekend with my family!

We started off the outdoor fun with just the water table, but when both of the girls were sitting in it, we decided that we needed more water fun.

So we ate lunch and the girls patiently waited for more water fun!

Then we brought out the sprinkler and then the slip-n-slide!

They had a blast with this!  Addysen would run and slide down it, like you are suppose to. Ainsley would just run next to it and get wet b/c every time she stepped on it, she would fall down - it was pretty funny!

We played outside ALL AFTERNOON! - Such a fun day!!!!

~ and yes, Ainsley is topless;)  We started off with just the water table, and thought that the water fun would end there, but it didn't.  Addysen changed into her swimming suit, and Ainsley.... well she's a baby and it doesn't matter, so we just took her shirt off.  We were just keeping it real, with real country livin! ~

Zoo day with Pepe!

T-Ball!!!!!

Addysen has decided to play t-ball this year!  Aaron and I are really excited about it and excited to watch her play.  Addysen was really excited at first, then she didn't want to go, then she liked it again, then she didn't like it.....  It's been a roller coaster with her, but I guess she is just preparing us for her teenage years;)  I told her that she cannot quit, "The Link's are not quitters!" and that she chose to do this, so we will stick it out for at least one season to give it a fair chance.  From what I have gathered from her, she really likes to hit the ball, and run the bases and standing in the outfield is "boring."  She also had a major melt down before the last game because she said her shirt was too long and covered up her shorts (that's because she wears them up over her belly button - we have to work on that.) and she was too sweaty to wear it and it made her look ugly!  UGH!!!! And she is still only 5!!!!  Anywho.... We have had 2 games so far, and the third game is tonight.  We have lost one and won one.  Addysen is going a really good job.  She is hitting the ball well and running the bases well. She has gotten the ball hit to her a couple of times in the field, sometimes she goes after it and sometimes she watches it go by.  But when she does pick it up to throw it, she's got a pretty good arm.  Aaron and I are very proud of her and love watching the t-ball games. I guess time will tell which way her heart will pull her, sports, farming, music, swimming, tumbling, or maybe even it ALL!!

hanging out in the dugout!

ready for the ball.... can't you tell, look at that stance;)

Batter up!

she missed that pitch, but she did hit this time up to bat and scored the first run for the team!
