New Years Eve!

We had another quiet new years eve.  I made too much food, we all hung out in the basement in our comfy clothes, played games, watched movies, danced and we all made it to 12am!  It was a good night!  I couldn't think of a better way to bring in the new year, than with my favorite people!

Addysen and our NYE feast of appetizers
my absolute favorite snack is chips and salsa, so I got some from my favorite Mexican restaurant.  OH SO YUMMY!
Playing uno.
Then the girls talked Daddy into playing their favorite game with them... He is the bull and they ride on him and get bucked off. This game can get pretty loud and rough, but the girls love it!

Christmas #4

Christmas night we always go to Grandma Sharon and Papa's house.

Supper-time!  And Lola got to sit with the big girls!
Well.... I think they are cute enough to open presents now, don't you?  ;)
Lola got to go first!
a Nerf bow & arrow.  (Mommy even had fun with this gift!)
A cow bag from Uncle Nate & Aunt Mary!
Aunt Mary to the rescue!  I didn't get Addysen a cow shirt like I got for Ainsley because I'm tired of buying her things that she does not wear. But luckily Aunt Mary did. So Aunt Mary saved Christmas:)
We got Lola a wagon to pull her dolls/toys in.  But I guess she likes riding in it too!
roller skates!!!
the big gifts from Grandma Sharon and Papa!
Testing out the roller skates... almost a pro:)

Our Christmas Morning!

Our Christmas morning... We do Christmas morning a little different than most kids. The girls wake up early, wake us up and then we look to see what Santa brought.  Then Daddy has to leave to do chores:( So the girls play with the new stuff that Santa brought, while I make breakfast and while Daddy is at the farm.  Once Daddy is home, we eat breakfast and then open presents.  By this time, I'm usually getting calls and text from my Mom and my sisters to see what everyone got...but we haven't even started opening yet.  Luckily, our girls are patient and are understanding to what Daddy has to do.  Although I will say that this is the first year, Addysen got pretty antsy and questioned why Daddy was taking so long.  Oh to be a farm kid!!  The important lessons she is learning and she doesn't even know it.

Santa brought Addysen an ipod nano
and he brought Ainsley a Dora guitar!
Santa also gave the girls lots of candy & a tooth brush.  After Ainsley got this tooth brush, we went through A LOT of toothpaste. Every chance she got, she was in the bathroom brushing her teeth:)
Ainsley got a CD player and the Teen Beach Movie soundtrack.  She LOVES it!
Addysen asked for and got a projector to trace pictures.... she has only used it twice.
Ainsley's new bling cow shirt!
Our little farm girl also asked for a truck and cattle trailer.  She was so excited to get it and she plays with it A  LOT!
A barbie that flies, and easily gets caught in hair:)
Pretty necklaces for our pretty girls!
After presents were open and their girls were just playing, I found Addysen doing this.... She set up her truck and trailer and was taking pictures of it.  About 20 different pictures of each part of it... I'd say she likes it.

Girl Scouts Christmas Party

The girl scouts had a GREAT time at their Christmas party this year.  Ms. Jamie came to show the girls how to make fancy bead necklaces, Ms. Tina helped them make snowmen gifts and  they made a couple of other crafts.  It was a great party - thanks Ms. Jiliane!

working hard, and making sure they pick out the perfect color for their necklace!
What a beautiful bunch of girls!

Christmas Baking 2013!

These are the treats Addysen and I made this year for the Christmas Season: peanut butter blossoms, thumbprint cookies, sugar cookies, iced pretzels and chocolate chip cookies for Santa!  It was a lot of sweets but they all found a home, and luckily not in my belly!

Our Owl...

One Sunday when we came home from church, we saw that an owl was sitting on our swing-set.  It was pretty cute and it hung out there for quite a while. The girls thought this was pretty cool.... and so did we:)  Since we don't really have any trees in our yard yet, it is rare that we see cool birds around here.

Sunday School Christmas Program

All the kids did a wonderful job at the Sunday School Christmas Program.  As always, it was a fun service to watch as the kids shared their talents and shared the message.

Addysen was in charge of taking this poster up to the front of the church, and was nice enough to let her little sister go with her, since Ainsley was too scared to take a poster up by herself.
