Meeting Baby Evan!

Addysen was thrilled, she got to hold Baby Evan - TWICE!!!

Best picture of the day... Evan is just day's old, and we find out that she has already joined a gang. From the signs she's throwing, I'm guessing West Side??? he he he!!!!

Caleb was very excited we were coming to hangout for the afternoon, he even wore a suit for us. We were really impressed until we found out that it wasn't just for us, this is pretty much his daily attire! I guess he has started to enjoy his "handsome clothes" ever since he wore a tux in Meggan and Brad's wedding.... Aren't kids great!!

Proud Grandma K and Baby Evan

Pretty Baby Evan

Newborn babies don't do much... Luckily Caleb and Addysen found some other fun and safe things to do!

First Hair Cut

Getting ready for the big cut.... I mean trim.
Looking at this picture gave me the giggles! Doesn't her head look small?! It reminds me of the movie Beetle Juice, when they shirk Beetle Juice's head.

Looking a little worried...

After Susan trimmed her hair, she styled it for Addysen. She gave her a barrette and ponytail. Addysen was so excited that she wore that barrette the rest of the week, and called it her "Susie barrette"

Look at that fancy ponytail!!

Eating M&M's and chillin in the stylin' chair!

LEAVES!!!

A couple of weeks ago, we went over to help Grandma K with a couple of things. Plus we found some time to have fun and play in the leaves for a while!
WE LOVE THE FALL!!

about to jump into the big pile of leaves.... ever so slowly!

Oh, the fun of being a kid!

of course she had to take a ride on the toy tractor!!

Christmas ALREADY!?

I found the cutest Christmas tree for Addysen's room. Once the box arrived, Addysen couldn't wait to open it up and see what was inside. Then once it was open, I couldn't wait to put it together. Thus, Christmas has officially started at the Link house. (just in Addysen's room)
Addysen and her pink Christmas tree!

Making some final adjustments.
This is Addysen's tree, and as much as it bothered me, I let her decorate it. I helped with the beaded garland, but she put on all the ornaments. So there are just about 3 spots on the tree with ornaments, they are all bunched together.
(it is not uniform, like I would do, but it is her work. she loves it, so I do too!)
Taking a close look at the beauty of Christmas!
I love this picture!

I think she likes it, here she is kissing one of the ornaments! (i did not tell her to do this)

We're ready for Christmas!

Last days of Fall!

Last weekend, we went out to Lincoln Park while the weather was so beautiful! We played at the playground for a while and then took a walk down by the lake. Addysen even cooperated for a couple of pictures for me.

This one was right before she flashed me! Daddy will have to put a stop to that!

I asked her to give me a silly face! (pretty silly, uh?!)

Here is her pretty face.
(can't argue with that!)

Running for the car. She's a fast little thing. Not the most graceful, but it's still fun to watch her run!

Super Girl to the Rescue!

As some of you may know, Addysen and I had a fight about the Halloween costume this year... I'm having a hard time adjusting to the fact that she has an opinion now! She wanted to be a princess. Since she was in two weddings this summer - technically - she was already a princess this year, twice! So I pulled the Mom card and I bought the costume I wanted her to wear. There were some reasons behind it... First of all, it was CUTE. Second, she has been running around the house with her blanket around her neck, saying, "I'm superman!" So anywho, I felt my decision was just. She, of course looked fabulous, but I do promise to let her pick her own Halloween costume next year.

trying on the costume for the first time.
ready to go trick or treating

Can you tell she is excited?!

We made one stop at her babysitter's church, where they were doing trunk or treat in the parking lot. Here she is with her babysitter, Hope.

She did say trick or treat, a couple of times. I had to remind her what to say.

After tick or treating, we came back home and had chili with Grandma K., Grandma Sharon, Papa, Uncle Nate and Aunt Mary. She was so excited about the day, the candy and that she had "little kid pop"

The next day, the Higgerson's came over for supper and so we could get picture of the girls together in their costumes.
