Easter!

Addysen and all her Easter Bunny goodies!

this picture is not too clear, but I love it. This was her reaction when she woke up and saw what the Easter bunny had brought her.

Our egg hunt at home. She did really well finding all the eggs.

The Easter Bunny brought her a bubble gun!

The cousins (L-R) Hunter, Lexi, Addysen, Morgan and Caleb.
Doesn't this say Happy Easter!

I love this picture of Caleb - he looks so tough!

Thank you Aunt Cheryl for those quiet toys!! he he he

Addysen is an excellent piano player. She gave us quite the show!

Cousin Morgan helped out and showed Addysen a thing or two!

The egg hunt at the Johnson Easter. Morgan won - found the most eggs, but because she is such a good big cousin, and has such a big heart, she threw some eggs back for the little ones to get.

Big Girl Bed!

Addysen is in a big girl bed now!! We put her in it on April 5th, and it's been smooth sailing ever since. (knock on wood) This kid must really love me. Mommy is not a morning person and so far, she will go to bed, sleep all night and not get up until we come and get her. So there has been no knocking on my forehead at 7:30 in the morning, saying "Mommy, get up!" She too sleeps in, but I never know when she wakes up, because we never hear a peep out of her! This may be a shock to some of you, but occasionally, I am up and dressed before she is!
Alright, that's it! I'm keeping her!
Bedtime has become my favorite part of the day. Now we get to lay in bed with her and read books! We love it and she loves it!snug as a bug in a rug!

Addysen turns 2!

Making cupcakes, the night before her birthday.
(Miss Addysen is an excellent helper/cook!)

At daycare Addysen shared her cupcakes with all of her friends.

I think they were a hit!

Addysen and all of her best buds at daycare.
L-R: (Ava, Jeri, Addysen, Carolyn, Molly and Preston (or as Addysen use to say, Peppy))

Birthday night we went to Happy Joe's to celebrate!

Addysen didn't really like the Happy Joe's staff singing to her :(

but she liked the ice cream!

Lindsay and Jared gave her some cool outdoor toys - including her new pink lawn chair!

And of course she got bubbles! ( from Papa and Grandma Sharon)

The weekend following her birthday, we had a BIG family party at our house! She loved it - cake, ice cream, presents, and cousins to play with!

Addysen taking the time to read each and every card.
(wait, isn't that upside down? that girl has talent!)

a new tricycle from PaPa and Grandma Sharon.

finally at the end of the party, Addysen and Lexi warmed up enough to play/sit by each other. Addysen kept calling her "baby." (Addysen is only 5 months older than Lexi!)

Don't they all pose so well? So cooperative!

Aaron Turn's 30!

On March 28th, I had a "SURPRISE" birthday party for Aaron at Jimmy's. I thought that I was being so good and sneaking planning this event, but obviously there was a large hole, somewhere in my planning. The day/night was quite stressful for me. That was the day they were predicting 7 inches of snow! Aaron suggested that we just stay home, since the weather was going to be so bad. I said, "No! It's not that bad out, we can go." and if anyone knows me, you know I was lying through my teeth. I love the winter and snow, I just HATE to be out and in a car while it is happening! (so if he knew I was planning something.... why did he let me fret so much?? - jerk) AnyWHO! I took Aaron out to eat at the Packinghouse, in Galesburg. It was a good dinner as usual. Then, I had Joel give him a call and say, "Hey, we're out at Jimmy's, why don't you come and I'll buy you a birthday drink?" Aaron said, "I'll have to check with my wife." (right, since when?) So he gets off the phone and starts talking to me about something else... I said, "Well, what did Joel say?" He just looked at me and said, "So, how many people do you have at Jimmy's?" I'm sure my face turned bright red, as I am a terrible liar! I said, "What are you talking about?" Wait, that was the second thing I said. The first thing I said to him was, "I hate you!" (see, I'm a terrible liar!) He caught me red-handed and I had nothing to say. So... we went to Jimmy's. (I was driving about 35-40 mph, because of the snow I HATE driving in - which annoyed Aaron). We walked in and everyone was there, dressed to impress, and singing "Happy Birthday!" And when I say, dressed to impress... check out everyone's shirts.

Happy 30th Birthday Aaron!
