Cassie and Tyler's wedding

On September 15, Addysen and Ainsley were flower girls in cousin Cassie's wedding. They were accompanied by their cousins Anna and Lucie.  I may be a little biased, but I believe these four were the cutest flower girls EVER!  The girls did a great job, especially since it was a long two days with no naps.  It was a perfect day for a wedding and Cassie was a beautiful bride!

Wedding Day - The flower girls and the bride, showing off their boots.

The cutest flower girls EVER!
Waiting for the wedding to begin and the girl were starting to run out of patience.  Thanks to cousin Jennifer and her ipad, the girls were back on track to patiently waiting for the wedding to start.

I helped get the girls down the aisle, so I missed pictures of them coming down, but I got this one of Ainsley coming back out of the church after the wedding. It looks like she is floating down aisle.

YAY!!  They did it, they're done!
The sweet, pretty Link girls!

UH-OH! - Anna's got her elbows out... someone cut her off;)

Homecoming Parade

Addysen was in the homecoming parade last Friday.  She has recently joined the Girl Scouts and is proud member of the Daisy's Troop.  So she got to ride on the Girl Scouts float. She loved being in the Altona Day parade, so I thought she'd love this one too.  After the parade, I asked her if it was fun being in the parade, and she said, "not really."  So I asked her why not, and she said, "because we didn't have any candy to throw."  :)  Yeah, I guess the candy is the big pull for little kids and parades, but I enjoyed watching!
and the parade begins!

The Grand Marshal's were two teachers that are retiring at the end of the year. Sue Sperry, who was my junior high science teacher and Mary Ann McCann, my best friend's mom!

here comes the band!

here is the Girl Scouts float!

MS Walk 2012

This year we were happy to have some extra walkers with us to support TEAM LARRY!  It was a beautiful day for the event and for a walk!  Our team did well, we raised $870 for the National MS Society, which was over what we were aiming for!  As for the race.... some of our team did well, and others (I'm not going to name any names) came in DEAD LAST!  I mean DEAD LAST, the cop cars were holding up traffic behind us:)  Oh well.  We knew we weren't going to come in first but we wanted to stand out and not come in somewhere in the middle, so the only other option was DEAD LAST:) he he he!  It was a fun day supporting this important cause and spending time with our family!

TEAM LARRY 2012

These were the names of the people on my mind this day...

Look at these beauties!

Open House

The last week of August, we went to the open house at Addysen's school. We got to meet her teacher, Mrs Manecke, see her classroom, see where she sits (at the yellow table) and all the fun things that she gets to do and work with throughout the day.  We also went to the book fair and got a couple of new books, which included a Taylor Swift books that she now keeps in her backpack:)  So far, Addysen is really enjoying school, learning and playing with her friends.

Addysen showing us where she sits.
Before we went to the open house, we went to pick Ainsley up at Hope's house and Ainsley had to show us her new trick.

She calls this her backflip.

New Windsor Rodeo

We're keeping the tradition alive...  My mom went to the rodeo as a kid, I went to the rodeo as a kid and this is the 2nd year of taking my girls to the New Windsor Rodeo.  This year we also invited the Lott's with us, and I think they really enjoyed it and will come back with us next year.

Caleb, Addysen and Morgan sitting on the ground watching the rodeo...I don't think they could have gotten any closer;)

Addysen and Morgan

now isn't this a sweet picture:)  What is wrong with those Lott kids?

after the rodeo, checking out the BIG BULLS!

our little weirdo.  It was pretty chilly this night, but Ainsley decided to take off her shoes + socks.

Addysen's first day of Kindergarten!

WOW!  Where has these last 5 years gone?!  I can't believe my baby girl is 5 and going to Kindergarten!  I am so excited for all her new experiences and sad that she is growing up so fast!  From what other mom's have told me, life speeds up even more now.  So I guess I better fasten my seat belt and hold tight to all the snuggles, kisses and hugs she gives me now before she gets too cool to do so anymore:(

It hasn't rained ALL summer long, but it did on the first day of school, August 16, so unfortunately we couldn't take pictures outside.  We won't complain though, we'll take the rain and maybe next year we'll get pictures outside.
Look at our pretty kindergartner!

Back pack on, ready to go!

Ainsley and Big sis!

Brand new tenny pumpers, that she can run SUPER fast in!

I wanted to make the first day of school special, so after school, I picked her up and I took her to get her nails painted for the first time!

She picked blue for her fingers and a gold sparkly color of her toes.

she was so excited to do this, and so was I!  It was a special memory for us!
Since I took Addysen to school on the first day, she didn't ride the bus.  So she got to ride the bus on the second day.  She's on the bus for about 50 minutes before she gets to school.
Her bus driver's name is Carrie and Addysen really likes her and riding the bus.  Occasionally, Addysen even has her homework done by the time she gets off the bus!

Illinois State Fair

This was our second year going to the Illinois State Fair, and Addysen's first year showing at the state fair.  We had a great time hanging out in the barns, watching cattle shows, riding the fair rides, eating, checking out all the animals and just spending time with family and friends.

riding the kiddie dragon roller coaster
the big drop ride

Addysen loved jumping on this.  We tried to get her to do a back flip, but she just wasn't ready.
This cute little monkey had a John Deere vest on.  If you stuck your hand out with a quarter in it, he'd come take it and then give you a high five.  Addysen and I thought this was pretty fun!

Daddy and Ainsley going down the BIG slide!
Mommy and Addysen going down the big slide.
Ainsley checking out the butter cow.

The last ride we went on was the sky ride.  I told Aaron that I'd ride with her, boy was that a mistake.  Once we got up in the air and started going over the whole fair, I started freaking out.  I did not enjoy that ride at all and could not wait to get off.  But I think Addysen still had fun even though I held onto her leg the entire time and kept telling her not to move!

walking to tie-outs
a deep conversation.... I think all farming issues of the world are being solved right here:)

While we were unpacking the car, Ainsley found the chips and dumped them on the floor to eat them, I guess putting her hand in the bag was just too much work:)
