Johnson Christmas

This year we had the Johnson Christmas at Dirk and Niki's house. Niki did a wonderful job preparing everything. We all had a good time and it was fun to be with the whole family again and watch all the kids play together.

The winners of the ugly Christmas sweater contest and their awesome prizes!
Caleb won hot dogs, Lucas won an 8x10 picture of Emily and Erin won a pretty leopard print sweatshirt.
Time for supper!

Addysen really enjoyed playing in Lexi's room.

What a good looking bunch!
opening presents.

Believe it or not, this is the best picture I got of ALL the kids together. They are all there, you can barely see Baby Evan's head behind Ben.
Now there is a happy, festive couple!

Look at that sweatshirt!

WEIRD?
Doesn't seem weird to me - just my family!

Addysen got a Fancy Nancy phone from Grandma K.

and a doll house!

Miss Aubrie (or crazy cat lady) got a cat from Grandma K. It moves and makes sounds like a real cat!

my sisters!

(note our clothing choices... we did not dress this way because we thought it was cute, we were dressed for the Johnson's ugly Christmas sweater contest)

The night before the Bakers went back home, we had supper at the Lott's house. One more time for family bonding and one more time to let the cousins play together.

Watching a movie with Uncle Bryan

Mid January, Uncle Bryan went overseas to fight for our country. We pray for his safety and for strength for Emily, Ben and Aubrie. We love you all!

Christmas at Papa and Grandma Sharon's house

We had a great time at Papa and Grandma Sharon's house on Christmas night. Everyone was there, plus a couple of little extras that are still being cooked. This night we started to share the news that we are expecting. Mary and Nate are due in June and we are due in August! BABIES, BABIES, BABIES!

Daddy was busy talking with Papa, so Addysen took the opportunity to get everyone to put her new toys together. (Daddy would prefer to take everything home in the box they came in... no fun)

Our family Christmas

ONE SPOILED KID!
Well, whether or not Addysen wanted Santa to come to our house - he did. On Christmas eve, I had to sleep with Addysen until she fell asleep. She was terrified of Santa coming down our chimney and into our house! (in reality this is a scary, weird concept to understand - so I can't say I blame her)

She had been telling people for weeks that Santa was bringing her bath for her baby - and he came through. She was thrilled and AMAZED that it was there!
So of course we had to give baby a bath right away and many times after. This is one clean baby!

totally excited about this computer thing... and barely plays with it.

a snow white doll

a microphone for my girl who loves to sing!

a John Deere combine from Daddy

a cash register - when she wants to play, she'll say, "wanna play 6 dollars?"
A new farming coat, just like Daddy's

Christmas with the Links

On Christmas Eve, we headed over to Papa and Grandma Sharon's for the Link Christmas. It was good to see everyone, as we don't get to see them too often. Addysen was excited to see Baby Lucie again! (Cousin Jennifer's daughter)

Christmas Tree

Our 2009 Christmas tree! We had a lovely time going out to look for our Christmas Tree. It was cold and rainy! Addysen didn't seem to mind. She was always a couple of steps behind us... eating snow.
Addysen, her snowball she was eating and "The Link Family Christmas Tree"
Enjoying a fresh snowball she found on the ground.
Taking a minutes to check out what Daddy was doing...
ok, time for some more snowball
Addysen was the star of the night... she got to put the star on the top of the tree.
The finished product and my pretty girl.

What a sweet picture.

(this was not staged at all!!! he he he)
